CCTV Website Advertising and AdSense Policy

This CCTV website advertising policy keeps Google advertising visually and editorially separate from technical guidance and explains how display, anchor, and vignette formats are controlled.

PURPOSE
AdSense remains inactive in development until the approved publisher identity, three display-unit IDs, consent configuration, ads.txt, live-domain policy review, and privacy disclosures are confirmed. Publisher and ad-unit identifiers are configured as deployment values; they are not embedded in editorial copy or used to alter technical conclusions.
CONDITIONS
Auto ads are intended to use only the anchor and vignette formats selected in the AdSense account. The site does not create a custom floating ad, pop-up, or simulated full-screen ad in application code. On eligible guides, the top display unit follows the page title, summary, and editorial attribution before the substantive answer. The middle unit appears after a substantial group of sections or after the calculator result and explanatory copy. The bottom unit appears after the main checklist, sources, and FAQ and before related reading.
LIMITS
This is a planning or editorial guide. It does not replace a site survey, current official source, legal review, or vendor acceptance test.

Activation and account boundary

AdSense remains inactive in development until the approved publisher identity, three display-unit IDs, consent configuration, ads.txt, live-domain policy review, and privacy disclosures are confirmed. Publisher and ad-unit identifiers are configured as deployment values; they are not embedded in editorial copy or used to alter technical conclusions.

Display placement map

On eligible guides, the top display unit follows the page title, summary, and editorial attribution before the substantive answer. The middle unit appears after a substantial group of sections or after the calculator result and explanatory copy. The bottom unit appears after the main checklist, sources, and FAQ and before related reading.

Each unit is visually separated and identified as an advertisement. Policy, contact, about, corrections, 404, noindex, and authorized interactive-assessment pages do not receive manual display units. Calculator controls and links are kept separate from ad units to reduce confusion and accidental interaction.

Auto ads and user experience

The AdSense account configuration is the source of truth for Auto ads. Anchor ads may remain at an edge of the viewport and should remain dismissible; vignette ads may appear between page loads and should be configured with a reasonable frequency. Navigation and task-completion links must not be designed to force or disguise an ad interaction.

In-page banner, multiplex, and side-rail Auto ads are not part of the initial plan. Any future format requires a separate policy, layout, consent, and accidental-click review.

Editorial separation and genuine interest

The site never asks readers to click, view, refresh, or support WestC through an ad interaction. It does not place arrows, misleading images, or navigation-like labels beside an ad, and it does not style an ad to look like a guide, source, download, calculator control, or related link.

An advertiser's presence does not buy a ranking, source citation, security conclusion, product endorsement, or favorable review. Readers should evaluate the technical content and the advertiser independently.

Consent, measurement, and review

Before serving ads to users in regions that require consent, the live deployment must use the selected Google-certified consent configuration, provide a way to revisit or withdraw choices, and avoid requesting Google ad tags before the applicable consent signal is available. The privacy page must describe the actual vendors, cookies, storage, purposes, and contact path used in production.

WestC will review AdSense Policy Center notices, ad density, accidental-click risk, invalid-traffic signals, source integrity, and layout changes after activation. A questionable unit can be disabled while the page remains useful without advertising.
