Compare highlight clipping, shadow detail, color, motion blur, focus, WDR settings, bitrate, live view, recorded playback, and export. Record a failed condition rather than hiding it with a generic image-quality score.
Record the observed condition, date, device or configuration reference, reviewer, unresolved limitation, and next action. A repeatable acceptance record is more useful than a generic promise that a camera, recorder, service, or analytic will work in every scene.

Does WDR make a security camera work in any backlight?
No. WDR is one part of the image pipeline. Camera position, target angle, lens, exposure, shutter, movement, reflections, processing, and recorded compression still determine the observed result.
Why is a face still dark with WDR enabled?
The target may be too small, moving, outside the useful angle, behind a reflection, or affected by exposure and light conditions that WDR cannot solve alone. Test the target at the actual distance and recorded stream.
How should WDR be tested before CCTV acceptance?
